NEW BOOTH POSITION and fully renovated presentation
Gottifredi Maffioli participated in the 2022 edition of METSTRADE, in Amsterdam, from November 15-17th, with a new position compared to the previous years, at Hall 1 – booth 01.643.
For the company, METS 2022 was a unique opportunity to meet partners, distributors, and friends, with a new location within the show a brand new designed, larger and enhanced booth. The right place to present the latest solutions in sailing and mooring lines for the leisure marine industry.
NEW Catalogue 2022
Focus on Innovations & Customised Performance
At METS, Gottifredi Maffioli showcased its new catalogue, which includes the full range of products that are the result of more than 70 years of research and development.
The company innovates also by finding existing fibers new applications in different areas.
An example is DSK78 XBO, the latest development in UHMWPE fibers. Combining the excellent mechanical properties of the Dyneema® SK78 fiber to bending fatigue optimized XBO finish, this material has been specifically developed to produce large diameter ropes, resistant to both dynamic and static loads.
Studies and research regarding fibers and combinations to create the best possible ropes have led the company to create cutting-edge solutions such as:
- DSK99 Ultra – Better sail performance and faster boat response
Single braid construction DSK99 with HTR treatment and polyurethane coating gives maximum strength/weight ratio and minimum stretch.
The use of this cutting-edge material delivers the highest tenacity available in a lightweight polymer fiber. The modulus is 10% higher than SK 90 and 35% higher SK75 and SK78. It can be used for strops, lashings, and cascade purchase systems subject to high dynamical loads.
- Captivia 78 – Sheets and Halyards on Captive winch
Double braid construction CAPTIVIA lines deliver superior fatigue resistance and durability.
The CAPTIVIA 78 XT-GRIP is used on captive winches that require a flexible rope with good grip properties. The CAPTIVIA 78 XT-PRO is optimised for direct drive captive winches that require a very firm rope even under high loads.
The CAPTIVIA 78 STD is the first rope to be specifically designed for use on captive winches.
- EVODOCK – Redefines the standards for superyacht mooring
EVODOCK is 50% lighter than a conventional mooring line. It combines the stretch of a polyamide mooring line with the lightweight of a Dyneema line. EVODOCK’s proprietary manufacturing technology allows to smoothly pass from the thicker outboard end of the line to the thinner and lightweight polyester covered inboard tail (Dyneema cored). EVODOCK’s features are lightness, durability, safety, comfortable handling.
INNOVATIVE solutions and SUSTAINABILITY
Gottifredi Maffioli’s innovations, presented at METSTRADE, are a reference for the leisure marine industry.
All Gottifredi Maffioli lines are manufactured using Bio-based Dyneema and the company is involved in many initiatives in order to have an approach to Sustainability from an ESG perspective. The company uses energy from renewable sources for manufacturing operations, supports a project on Ocean Health monitoring, and collaborates with Dyneema on a R&D Project for recycling used ropes.

At the 2022 edition, at the end of the first day of the show, the usual “meet for a drink” moment took place at the Gottifredi Maffioli’s booth.
